While reading What the Best College Students Do I have been annotating using color coding. For text to text examples I highlight the text in orange and leave a comment on the side. For text to self connections I highlight and leave a comment in orange. When I think that something is important in the text I highlight in pink and summarize it in the comments. I highlight footnotes in blue so that I will go to the endnotes and read them. I think that the color coding will be helpful when I have to go back through the pages and I will be able to find the different examples and connections easier.
