Peer Review

The first draft that I chose to show my early efforts, was Jenna’s Social Media draft 1. Before English class in college, I had never done much peer reviewing. The first few papers that we had to review for our peers, I didn’t leave the most helpful advice or ideas because I was afraid to say things about their projects. As the semester went on I began to get more confident while peer reviewing. I thought that having a structure for peer reviewing was helpful throughout the semester. Knowing that you needed to leave one comment on the main argument or two comments on the evidence made it a lot simpler. I think that my comments on Jenna’s first draft are a good example of how I have grown as a peer reviewer, because at the beginning of the semester I would only leave positive comments. Now that I have improved as a peer reviewer, I think that I leave comments that are helpful for revising their projects. I can still improve the comments that I make while peer reviewing, but I think that I made progress during the semester.
